Almond Blossom
It’s unbelieveable: 24 degrees celsius (F° 75), it’s the 1. February on Mallorca and the first time this year, this winter, that I am barefooted, playing in a T-Shirt and without shoes and socks on the grass with our dog Lilly outside, while the almond trees are blossoming like there is no tomorrow on the island. The weather is like in june in Germany, if you are lucky and it is not raining. It’s amazing!
Unglaublich: 24 Grad am 1. Februar. So warm war es hier auf der Insel noch nie seit die Temperaturen aufgezeichnet werden. Mein erster Tag ohne Schuhe und Socken dieses Jahr, mein erstes Mal barfuss in diesem Winter. Ich sitze im T-Shirt draussen während ich diesen Post schreibe und find’s total schön, Klimawandel hin oder her. Der so milde Winter ist auch der Grund, dass die Mandel-Blüte schon vor drei Wochen losging und jetzt die meisten Bäume die Insel in ein weiss-rosarotes Blütenmeer tauchen, eine wahre Pracht, ein Fest für die Augen und eigentlich der Start in den Frühling…im Frühsommer. Unglaublich!

Thank you for your brillant photos of the early spring in Mallorca, that give us a foretaste of what we expect in the Palatinate soon, too – may be also some weeks earlier than the last years. Until that we enjoy the summer in Thailand 😉
