Floral
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is my favorite plant here on the island because they are in flower all winter long. Good for my eyes and our wild bees who are not sleeping this mild and sunny winter. Lavender has a scent that is a wonderful blend of fresh, floral, clean, and calm.
Ich liebe unsere Lavendel-Hecken vor dem Haus. Sie blühen fast das ganze Jahr und vor allem auch jetzt im Winter. Gut für unsere wilden Bienen, die wegen des warmen Klimas dieses Jahr nicht wirklich schlafen. Lavendel ist übrigens eine Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Lippenblütler – das klingt verführerisch.
