Villa Maroc (4): Essaouira
Essaouira is always windy, a nice escape in summer
when it is too hot in Marrakesh.
Cats are the most relaxing people there.
I recommend three cool places, to stay and for lunch and diner:
“Villa Maroc“, “Au Bonheur des Dames” and “Elizir“.
Villa Maroc is a charming place with a great view from the roof terrace (room no. 15).
“Au Bonheur des Dames” lunch is excellent and they have the best ice-cream in town,
and “Elizir”, the yummy restaurant in the Medina, is a special place with furniture and
music from the sixties and seventies, very “retro”,
like Berlin. Hippy chic.
